                   ULBRICK Verbovibe class A head

The amp is Incredible.
I'm almost lost in a place where my fingers control such a variety of tone, expression and drive....
It's a pure work of knowledge, art, and crafstmanship, and I'm completely honoured to own the feisty little beast.

Best stuff,
Ian.

ULBRICK STADIUM 120 head.    By Irwin Thomas AKA Jack Jones

I was so blown away tonight, I had to let it out. And where better, than your page. After all, I should share this experience with everyone here. I'm sure they all can relate!! *smiles* Here goes....

Ok.. So I rock up to an Electric Mary rehearsal tonight with my new Stadium 120.. I thought I'd try going straight in for starters..(Tuner/Wah/120)

OH MY  GOD!!!

Yes, that's right, you heard right..

OH MY  GOD!!!!!

This is THE MOST responsive amp I've EVER played through, PERIOD!! (Including the 'DUMBLE' amps. Which are renowned for their 'detail and focus!' Oh yeah. The last one I saw for sale was a cool 20k
US
. How much are yours again?? This is RIDICULOUS man!! I would even go as far as to say, it's highway robbery how cheap your amps are! 4k for a 'boutique' amp?? It's UNHEARD OF!! And this is about as 'boutique' as it gets!! I mean, seriously!! 6k+ for its closest rival?? You gotta be  KIDDING me!! Hey, I aint on the warpath here. Forgive me, I've just had a 'Religious Experience' tonight kids!!!!' ha..

As you know, I loved the Stadium 80, but wanted something louder and a bit.. let's say.. 'PuNcHiEr!!' More headroom. And something very 'fast'. (As opposed to say, a SOLDANO. Which has a real 'slow' kind of attack. I'm sure you know what I mean here. lol)

Well, HOLY HELL!! I mean, punchy is one thing. This is in a league of it's own! KAPOW--HAYIA!! This thing's a NINJA BOY!! It has PLENTY OF FRONT!

I defy ANY amp builder/designer, to build an amp as versatile in one channel as this. I've owned em ALL!! (Ok. Not ALL.. But, let's say.. Most.. AND, you've repaired ALL of them at some point! Oh yeah. AND MADE THEM ROADWORTHY! Very important if you play regularly, yeah?? This thing's a TANK!)

The tone controls are unbelievable. For starters, they work EXTREMELY WELL!! And, depending on where you run them, along with the pre/power stages, it's ASTONISHING how much you can get out of this thing! It's UNBELIEVABLE what you can do with it!! A treble and presence that actually work and are rich harmonically. AND, all the pots are really 'smooth'.. They feel so EXPENSIVE!!!! hahahahaha THEY DO THOUGH!!! I  HATE those shit pots you get!!! heh heh!!!!

Build Quality is simply OFF THE HOOK!! This thing is a masterpiece. All the way down to the screws holding the transformers in place. (Nice touch brother, nice touch) The internal wiring is a work of art. (We've spent a LOT of time with our heads inside every amp I've ever owned. Plus, all those amps you fixed over the years. hahahahaha. Plexis, JMP's, MY Old Jose, The Custom Bogner, The Marshall Handwired blah blah. The list goes on. etc etc.)

But nothing I've ever seen even comes close to this level of construction. It's beautiful!! WoW!!

The amp was running with the pre around 1:30, and Master 2 (Solo CH) at about
1 o'clock
. (for about 5 hrs in total. On the whole time. Purred away silently. Hardly any real heat coming out the grate at the back at the end of rehearsal. There isn't an amp that I've ever owned that's run this efficiently.. It's crazy! This thing is DEVASTATING!!

It really is man.

You managed to do it again Dave. There's never been any doubt that you're a genius. Yet, you continue to Rise the Bar. Again. And Again. AND AGAIN!! Because YOU CARE!! It just keeps shining through! Or SCREAMING, as was the case tonight!! HA!

We are so privileged to have you here mate!!

Well done again. I'm Ecstatic!!!!

Thanks to ALL the lads at ULBRICK too!! Second to NONE! There isn't an amp on the market that even comes close quality wise! Everyone's got taste, but some things are indisputable. There's no doubt this thing will outlive me! Hhmmmm!!

Stellar job fellas!!!! STELLAR JOB!!

STADIUM 80 review

I have been playing live for well over 20yrs (OH MY GOD THAT LONG)I have had this amp for 6 months now and was blown away from the time I heard it,but wanted to get some time and gigs under my belt before I wrote this review. This is THE MOST AMAZING AMP I HAVE EVER PLAYED,and ive owned or at least played most of them including,M***,B*****,M********,B** ***,and S******(which I sold to buy the Ulbrick).

I seriously recommend trying out the Ulbrick gear.
I have seen some big international names are purchasing them now.

I wish I had something critical to say here but I cant think of anything I would change.
I have found MY perfect amp.
It may be worth a read of Jack Jone's review on the ulbrick sound website if you are seriously looking as he plays at an international touring level.

As far as value for money goes they are under priced!--Im not kidding.

STADIUM 80 review

The sounds are rich and rounded whether using a clean or overdriven tone. There is no harshness in the midrange and the tops can be contoured to taste. I am mainly using an
Eric Johnson Sig Fender Strat which is in itself awesome and I have a 63 L series Fender Strat, a 65 SG Gibson and a recent 335 Gibson. I'm yet to pull a bad tone with any of these guitars with this amp.
My Live setup includes the Ullbrick which I use for my dirty rhythm and lead tones. I use a Fulltone Clyde Wah pedal as well as a Fulltone OCD pedal and an Ullbrick 12 AXE Pedal in front. I have an A/B switch with the other side going to 2 LINE 6 Flextone 111 amps run in stereo for clean tones. In front there is a Fulltone Tape Tube Echo running into a Fulltone ChoralFlange with stereo out to the two Flextones running Fender Style amp tones .

I have been playing for 40 years most of them professionally. I would definately replace if stolen and as funds permit I'll replace the L****s with Ulbrick's. These amps are certainly
not cheap but you get what you pay for and more. A hand made all valve amp using the highest level of componentry is what you get .
Dave Ulbrick is a true gentleman who cares about what he does. He has the reputation of looking after his clients and has enormous knowledge in his field.

Hey Dave,

(A true event
1 August 2007 1:14pm
)

My new neighbors told me (nicely) yesterday if I could turn my amp down for their windows were shaking like an earthquake was happening!!!

The scary part was, that the master volume was only on 2? I couldn't wipe the smile off my face...ended up having a few beers and showing them what happens when the master goes past 2! Thought I'd let you know that they were very impressed!

Hahaha now that STADIUM 120 is a kick ass amp mate!

Hope you're well buddy and will keep in touch.

Rock on!

Hi Dave,

Picked up a 1x12 (with eminence120) from our friend murph not too long ago. It says 112 recording but holy shit it moves some air live!! Can you say TONE!!! Engineers looove it. This is a perfectly balanced cab. No shrill top end. Enough bottom end to fill out the sound without whoof. Lightweight. Small, tidy. This is my main cab from this moment on!!!!

Keep up the good work dude!!

I've been playing professionally for 23 years. I've owned about 15 overdrive pedals in that time. I sold an original TS-808 for $35 in 1983. I've missed it ever since. Until I got this 12AXE from Dave Ulbrick. It's incredible to think that this level of crafstmanship, quality and service are available in these times of planned obsolescence and mass production. Dave is in the same league as guys like Geoffrey Teese, making exceptional products at reasonable prices with absolute commitment and no compromise, and with the kind of professional backup that usually goes missing once their products become popular. I live for tone, it's the vehicle to my self expression through the guitar, and it keeps me in work. Dave Ulbrick understands this and makes products for the serious tone hound. The 12AXE is as good as it gets in an overdrive pedal. Order one now to be hand built for you personally.

Now that I've owned B*****, S******, F*****, M*******, and a lot of other good amps - many of which cost me more than the Ulbrick Arena - I can say with confidence, thanks Ulbrick for making THE BEST GUITAR AMP IN THE WORLD.

Your two amps have FAR exceeded anything I could have possibly imagined when it comes to tone, touch sensitivity, harmonic content and overall dynamics. You are truly a MASTER at your craft, and I feel VERY privileged to own two of your amps!
